Discipleship Groups

Discipleship Groups are small Bible studies offered each semester to help individuals grow in their knowledge of and walk with God. CSC offers bible studies for students who are new to the faith as well as studies for more mature believers.

 


Spiritual Disciplines
This group takes an introductory look at 12 spiritual disciplines and helps participants apply these principles to everyday life.
1. Study 5. Simplicity 9. Confession
2. Meditation 6. Solitude 10. Worship
3. Prayer 7. Submission 11. Guidance (Mentoring)
4. Fasting 8. Service 12. Celebration

Foundations of Christianity (Part 1 & 2)

This 22 lesson study is broken into two semester studies, touching on foundational Christian beliefs. After completing Part 1, a student may take Part 2 in a later semester. You will discover what the bible has to say about things such as Heaven, Hell, and the Lord's Supper, baptism and many other topics. In order to finish in one semester, this course meets once each week for 11 weeks.

  10. HOW DO THE OLD TESTAMENT AND NEW TESTAMENT GO TOGETHER?
  11. HOW CAN I WORSHIP AND PRAISE GOD?
  12. WHAT IS THE LORD'S SUPPER?
  13. HOW CAN MY PRAYER LIFE BECOME STRONGER?
  14. WHY AND HOW SHOULD I GIVE TO GOD?
  15. HOW CAN I EXPERIENCE THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT?
  16. HOW CAN I RECOGNIZE AND DEAL WITH THE DEVIL?

Inductive Bible Study Method

This group will spend 11 weeks studying encournters with Jesus through the book of John using the inductive Bible Study Method. This group is designed to give students tools to help them interpret scripture in a way that can not be accomplished by just reading the english translated text.
Participants must have completed "Spiritual Disciplines" prior to taking Inductive Bible Studies.

 

 

Sign up for Discipleship Groups will be during the first few weeks of the semester during Wednesday night F.I.R.E. A clipboard will be passed around with the times and classes available. If none of these times are convenient for you, please contact Heather, Charlie, or Barry.
