Discipleship Groups

Discipleship Groups are small Bible studies offered each semester to help individuals grow in their knowledge of and walk with God. CSC offers bible studies for students who are new to the faith as well as studies for more mature believers.

Foundations of Christianity

This 23 lesson study touches on foundational Christian beliefs. You will discover what the bible has to say about things such as Heaven, Hell, and the Lord's Supper, baptism and many other topics. In order to finish in one semester, this course meets twice weekly.

Revelation: A Study of the New Testament Book of Revelation

Taught by Charlie. Spring Semester 2008 - this study is being taught to the large group at Wednesday Night F.I.R.E. and 2nd Chance F.I.R.E. Charlie will offer a more indepth look at each weeks topic in a small group formate. See Charlie if you are intested in this opportunity.

Heart To Heart (Heart Groups for short)

We are excited about this new group that came about because several CSC women saw an need that wasn't yet being met. These groups will meet weekly to talk "heart to heart" about issues that they are personally wrestling with. Our personal journal/devotional time will feed our discussions each week. There will be several different Heart Groups meeting to cater to the individual needs of the women interested in these groups. Some might be: Entrance Heart Group (for incoming freshmen), Exit Heart Group (to discuss the issues being faced by those leaving college at the end of this semester), we might break into Heart Groups based on our majors, a specific issue or dating status . . . the sky is the limit. The point is to glorify God by wrestling with some tough questions and meeting individuals where they are. Be at the meeting next Wednesday night after small groups to hear more and to see what groups form. Heather will lead these groups for women only.

Passion and Purity

A book, by Elisabeth Elliot in which we learn to bring our love lives (and consequently our whole lives) under God's control). Lead by Heather.

Let Me Be A Woman

Another favorite by Elisabeth Elliot was written as a wedding gift to her daughter. It discusses submission, singleness, femininity and marriage. Lead by Heather.

Becoming A Woman of Prayer

A foundational study that will change some of our common misconceptions of prayer. Lead by Heather.
Cost: $7

Becoming a Woman of Freedom

This study looks at how we can lay aside things like busyness, bitterness and people pleasing and run with the freedom that God intends.

Becoming a Woman of Excellence

This is a look at the character qualities that make us excellent in God's eyes.
Cost: $7

Money Matters

This is a 5 week video series that will teach you to save, budget, find bargains, get rid of debt and more.
Cost: Free

Ruth & Esther

A Study for women lead by Kristin Rose. This study will look into these two books to help women ground themselves in the characteristics of these two women of God.

Prison Ministry

This is a hands-on opportunity to minister to people living in the prison system. An expereinced prison ministy leader will take students on Monday's from 11:00am-1:30pm each week.

Shaping the Heart of a Leader

Brad & Debbie Hunt will teaching this study on Sunday nights at 7:00 P.M. You will need to transparently discuss defining moments of you past with the goal of having a future as a strong leader.

21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership

Since the effectiveness of any organization rises and falls on leadership, this study looks at principles to apply if you want to be an effective leader.
